The big kahuna

Feeling excited. I had 8 lovely hours sleep last night and have got to spend some time with a lovely friend and some true loves. Oh, and some hours at work, but that wasn’t even too bad.

Tonight is when I will have the big injection that will last me until day 6. It’s a fairly intimidating looking apparatus with a spring loaded, inch long, retractable needle. So if it’s not don’t correctly then it retracts and locks itself leaving me without the dose I need and putting us out of pocked about $1,800. It goes into a pinch of belly fat, and its purpose is to stimulate the growth of eggs – hopefully producing more than the normal number of eggs. I will have to drink more water, but other than that there will be no other changes to my lifestyle.

Oh, except those extra hormones may hijack my emotions/brain and move to a new location in crazy town. I usually visit crazy town for a day right before my women’s week, so I am familiar with the area. I am just always really glad to leave, and I can look back on the visit with perspective and hindsight. Let’s hope I get out again this time without too much collateral damage.

We are also taking an antibiotic – both of us – I can’t remember why but probably to ensure we don’t get sick and compromise the health of our ‘stuff’.

During the next week I will have some more top ups and then this time in a week I will have a scan to see how well I have reacted and to look at production and time lines.

Bring it on!
